Our story

Hearts that don't fold

Wildcard Foundation rallies a community of donors and volunteers to support children facing serious medical challenges — and the families who love them.

Wildcard Foundation was started in honor of Nixon Wildcard Hunter, a brave little boy whose story moved a community to action. What began as a small group of family and friends has grown into a network of volunteers, blood donors, and basket builders, among many other things, all rallying around one idea: kids in tough spots deserve a soft place to land.

We work directly with Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), the Hear Aid Foundation, and individual families whose insurance won’t cover the care their children need. Our money goes where it matters: hearing aids, cochlear implants, therapies, surgeries, blood drives, and much more.

We’re proudly volunteer-run. Every dollar donated goes further because the people behind Wildcard Foundation give their time for free.

Our values

  • Kids first

Every decision is filtered through one question: does this help a child?

  • Transparent

We share what we raised and where it went.

  • Local & direct

We work with hospitals and families, not middlemen.

  • All-volunteer

More of your gift reaches the kids.
